- Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kirk told everyone he was an Iraq war veteran, but he isn't. For some reason (the New York Times doesn't care?) he is not getting as much shit for this as Richard Blumenthal is?
- Not only is Rand Paul against the Americans With Disabilities Act, he also doesn't even understand what it does. (Best line in the story: "'Idon't have a bunch of anecdotes,' said the Heritage Foundation's James Sherk, who has written of the ADA's 'burdensome accommodation process.'" He just knows it's bad!)
- "House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence is receiving a leadership achievement award for his contributions to the Hispanic community, but nobody -- including Pence -- can seem to figure out why."
- Rand again: is the death of local print media partly to blame for his having escaped serious questioning so far?
- Homeland Security has eliminated the "paper arrival/departure" or I-94W form. That form is the only documentation foreign nationals from 36 (largely white and European) nations carry to prove that they're not, say, undocumented alien workers. So, White Europeans: stay out of Arizona for a while.
- Have you heard about Bros Icing Bros?
Friday link dump: Rand Paul, iced bro
