We don't get enough middle-aged white guys trending on the Internet, you know? Today's the day for Lawrence O'Donnell though -- the writer, actor, and part-time pundit has been given his own nightly program on MSNBC. Anyone who knows anything about cable news programming knows that this is a fantastic opportunity, a double-edged sword, and an atom-bomb-waiting-to-go-off. Here's a tip: watch out for those Fox News characters.
The show will air at 7 pm PT/10 pm ET, so if that's when you watch your "Countdown" reruns, you're going to have to learn how to use your DVR. Politico has a nice meaty piece on O'Donnell and how guest hosting "Countdown" leads to your very own show. Media Bistro has managed to drum up quite a comment-flurry about the new show. And check out the new host taking on Liz Cheney on Good Morning America:
