Intelligence officials say suspected U.S. missiles have killed at least two people in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region.
The three missiles struck the Mada Khel area of the northwest region filled with militants determined to oust Western troops from across the border in Afghanistan.
Two intelligence officials confirmed the details of the Thursday strike. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to media on the record.
The U.S. has launched numerous missile strikes aimed at wiping out Taliban and Al-Qaida leaders in Pakistan's tribal areas. Pakistan officially condemns the attacks but is believed to secretly assist the program.
