Authorities have arrested a teenager they say fired a shotgun into the ground outside a mosque in western New York state.
He was among a group of teenagers charged with disrupting a religious service at the World Sufi Foundation mosque in Carlton on Monday night. That's a misdemeanor.
A 17-year-old boy was charged additionally with felony criminal possession of a weapon and ordered held on $10,000 bail.
Orleans County Sheriff Scott Hess says the same teens from nearby Holley shouted epithets and honked horns as they drove past the mosque Friday. That's when they say the 17-year-old fired a shotgun twice into the ground.
