Brett Favre streak ends at 297 games

Shoulder injury keeps Vikings QB from extending his record-breaking run of starts Monday night against the Giants

Brett Favre is inactive for the Minnesota Vikings' game Monday night with the New York Giants, ending his record consecutive starts streak at 297, dating back to 1992.

Vikings spokesman Jeff Anderson said Favre is not suited up for the game. He has an injured right shoulder.
