NEW YORK (AP) — Police continue to keep watch over a prominent Islamic cultural center that was firebombed as they investigate other attacks that also could be bias crimes.
A firebomb struck the center Sunday evening as about 80 people gathered for dinner. A private house that is used as a Hindu house of worship also was damaged in a suspected arson attack along with a corner store and another house.
No one was injured in the attacks and it is unclear if they are related.
Police have released a sketch of a suspect in the bombing of the Hindu worship site. They're offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
