GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) — Prosecutors have filed charges against a 14-year-old girl suspected in a hammer attack that injured two students at Columbine High School.

The attack Monday was the first assault with a weapon at the Colorado high school since the 1999 shootings that left 12 students, a teacher and the gunmen dead.

Jefferson County district attorney spokeswoman Pam Russell says the suspect, whose name is being withheld because she's a minor, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of menacing. The 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy injured Monday are expected to recover.

A judge earlier this week ordered the suspect held without bond until a hearing scheduled for Friday afternoon.

Jefferson County sheriff's spokeswoman Jacki Kelley says investigators have completed interviews and collected surveillance video from the school.
