MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — A U.S. Coast Guard official says the crewmember who died in a helicopter crash off the Alabama coast was a rescue swimmer.

Capt. Don Rose, commanding officer of Coast Guard Sector Mobile, said the three crew members who are still missing are the pilot, the co-pilot and the flight mechanic.

Rose said rescuers tried to revive the rescue swimmer when they found him, but they were unable to.

Names of the four crewmembers have not been released.

Divers planned to search the sunken wreckage of the MH-65C helicopter Wednesday, a day after it crashed in Mobile Bay on a training mission.
