Nadya Suleman, the mother of 14 who first gained fame for giving birth to octuplets by way of in vitro fertilization, has this year become an unlikely porn star. Suleman released her controversial X-rated video, "Octomom: Home Alone," in June, in which Suleman "can be seen touching herself as baby clothes breeze-dry on a washing line behind her." After getting through a possible Xanax addiction, shirking allegations of child abuse and handling potential legal battles at strip clubs, Suleman has seen the light at the end of a very dark, twisted tunnel: four Adult Video Network award nominations. Suleman's solo sex tape "Home Alone" has been nominated for Best Celebrity Sex Tape, Best Solo Release, Best DVD Extras and Best Marketing Campaign.
“I’m very excited to attend the AVN Awards, Suleman told The Huffington Post. “I’ve never been to anything like that before so I’m really looking forward to it.” Suleman will head to Las Vegas in January to attend the ceremony.
Not all porn stars support Suleman, however. This summer, XXX actress Amber Peach told the Huffington Post that the video was "disturbing" and that "the whole video from a porn standpoint just looks awkward and uncomfortable."
