Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., implied that Senate Democrats may have a way forward on gun background checks, following the measure's defeat last week at the hands of a Republican filibuster. "We are working on a path forward," Reid told reporters, according to TPM. "I think we have one, but we're not ready to move on that at this time."
He added: "We're going to do our best to get something just as soon as we can. It's really an issue that I feel very strongly about and the American people do also."
