New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that the comeback campaigns of post-scandal Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner are just "political theater," but added that “It’s part of the charm of New York."

"It’s part of the charm of New York, you know. We tend to have the eccentric, we tend to have the entertaining, and this is a little political theater. I think that’s all people think of it,” Cuomo said on CBS Monday, Politico reports.

“Everyone knows New York has great theater also, right?” he added. “It is great theater. It’s great political theater.”
