What I learned from tonight's Oscar broadcast -- that I ought to see "Dallas Buyers Club" ASAP -- I already knew. Jared Leto's acceptance speech was touching and, as cliche as it sounds, classy. Matthew McConaughey's was at once predictable and invigorating. But for proof that the veteran actor is reaching a more-than-all-right-all-right height in his career, one needed only switch over to HBO for the penultimate episode of the premiere season of "True Detective."
