Bill Cosby has made a small step in breaking his silence over the rape allegations against him. The embattled comedian, who has spent weeks refusing to address accusations that he drugged and raped nearly two dozen women over several decades, took to Twitter this week to issue notes of gratitude for two of his defenders.
"The View" host Whoopi Goldberg and singer Jill Scott both recently came to Cosby's aid as the rape allegations surfaced, for which both women have been widely criticized. But Cosby appears thankful they stepped in:
Thank you @WhoopiGoldberg.
