While she might have been prepared to marry ex-partner and former co-star B.J. Novak a few years ago, Mindy Kaling has changed her tune about marriage. In a new interview with Good Housekeeping, the "Mindy Project" star expressed ambivalence about the possibility of ever getting married, saying she's okay with the possibility that she just might never do the deed.

"When I was younger, I wanted so badly to be married and have kids in a rush," Kaling said. "I loved my parents' relationship. The way my father was with my mother when she was dying was so moving. It was such devotion. I don't know that that will happen for me, but I like it."

The star went on to describe the role that feeling increasingly self-sufficient has played. "I don't need marriage," Kaling said. "I don't need anyone to take care of all my needs and desires. I can take care of them myself now."

If the success of her show is any indication, Kaling seems to be doing a pretty okay job of that.
