“SNL” offends viewers with controversial ISIS sketch

Many found the sketch -- about a father sending his daughter off to join ISIS -- to be in poor taste

Last night’s “Saturday Night Live” played on the familiar ritual of a father (Taran Killam) saying goodbye to his daughter (host Dakota Johnson) after she graduates from high school. But in "SNL"'s twisted take, she’s not heading off to college — she’s going to join ISIS. “You be careful, okay?” says the father. “Dad, it’s just ISIS,” the daughter responds with a wink.

Judging by the reaction on Twitter after the sketch aired, a lot of viewers felt that "SNL" had crossed a line with this one:
