Donald Trump took a direct shot at Rosie O'Donnell Thursday night, during the first Republican presidential debate, indirectly assigning the comedian and talk-show host a series of misogynistic descriptors. Trump's statement came after a question from Fox News host and debate moderator Megyn Kelly, who pressed him about his behavior toward women.

The exchange was as follows:

KELLY: When it comes to women, you’ve called them fat, pigs, dogs and slobs.
TRUMP: Only Rosie O’Donnell.

Shortly thereafter, O'Donnell responded on Twitter, without mentioning Trump by name:

Trump has a long history of sexist, racist and otherwise derogatory comments. In Thursday night's debate, in response to Kelly's question, he lashed out at the "political correctness" that he seems to believe is responsible for America's decline. (As opposed to, say, abusive and megalomaniacal billionaires.)
