Alec Baldwin — arguably the best Trump impersonator — has reprised his role as the President in a roast promo for his Spike TV special, "One Night Only: Alec Baldwin." As usual, it proves that the best thing about the struggling Trump administration are the jokes comedians make about the very large target that is our commander-in-chief.
The promo features Baldwin's Trump impersonation channeling George Washington, a look complete with traditional colonial clothing and a heavily powdered face.
"Hello everyone. It's me, George Washington, who made America great the first time," Baldwin-via-Washington-via-Trump says. "I come to you this Independence Day with a special message. First, you're welcome, for your amazing freedoms, all this tremendous democracy. I grabbed so much freedom from those British losers – when you're the president, they let you do it," he says with squinted eyes and overly expressive hand motions.
"I created this terrific, incredible country for everybody, even the haters and the losers like Alec Baldwin, so that he could have the freedom to insult the president." He continues to call his career a "total disaster," adding "others like that idiot Alec play dress up and make believe their entire lives."
"These only look small because my hands are so huge," he says while holding two American flags. "They're so incredibly huge, okay?"
Baldwin confirmed he will return to "Saturday Night Live" as Donald Trump, telling CNN "Yeah, we're going to fit that in. I think people have enjoyed it."
The special "One Night Only: Alec Baldwin" airs July 9 on Spike.
