Hardly anyone looks more miserable on a daily basis than First Lady Melania Trump. Whether she's slapping away President Donald Trump's handholding attempts or simply rocking her permanent tight-lipped mug, Melania always seems to be one low-security-day-away from bolting out the White House doors. Really, can you blame her?
Thursday, Mrs. Trump did little to appease the rumors of her unhappiness in Washington when she visited the Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. to meet with patients, families and staff members. The visit is a tradition that dates back to First Lady Bess Truman over 60 years ago.
On my way to @childrenshealth to read a #Christmas book and visit with some of the brave patients. Please keep all who are struggling with health issues in your thoughts & prayers this holiday season.

One 10-year-old named asked the first lady, "If you could spend the holidays anywhere in the world, where would you go?" To which she responded: "I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, a tropical island — with my family." Sounds nice, both for her and the balance of humanity.
Twitter wasted no time pointing out that such a wish is on many of our Christmas lists:
Melania Trump's Christmas wish is for her family to go to a deserted island. Funny, that was mine, too. pic.twitter.com/Hfy8PsQHKD — Mrs. Betty Bowers (@BettyBowers) December 7, 2017
Melania Trump said her Christmas wish would be for her family to go to a "deserted island".... I have a feeling a lot of Americans are wishing for the exact same thing.pic.twitter.com/bv5uXTgpI3

Can we build a wall around that deserted island? — Jude (@StuffJudeSays) December 7, 2017
This isn't an answer. This is her escape plan. — Matthew Gellert (@MatthewGellert) December 7, 2017
Quite the response from Melania at a Children's National event (via pool): Q: My name is Andy ... I am 10 ... If you could spend the holidays anywhere in the world, where would you go? FLOTUS: I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, a tropical island, with my family. — Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) December 7, 2017
Melania Trump wants to spend the holidays on a deserted island. Can she take her husband with her? And leave him there forever?

When #MelaniaTrump was asked how she’d like to spend the holidays, she answered, “On a Deserted Island with Family.” I know she meant to be on that Deserted Island ONLY with her Son, Barron. I TRULY believe that she DOESN’T want to be in the White House at all! @TheView #TheView — Elsa❤️#Troublemaker (@Elsa050467) December 8, 2017
It would be like a terrible episode of Gilligan’s Island 🌴 — Mr. T (@terranceleon) December 7, 2017
If only wishing would make ol' St. Nick a reality and gift us all with a Christmas miracle.
