Former Gov. Mike Huckabee appeared on Fox News to discuss comedian Chelsea Handler's criticism of his daughter Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the current White House press secretary.
Handler joked on her talk show that Huckabee was transformed into a "proper trollop" with "summer whore lipstick" on her comedy show. While Handler's tongue-in-cheek commentary may have crossed a line, Huckabee used the jokes as an opportunity to attack Handler for having had abortions.
“She seems to be just in a rage. The sad thing about it, she boasts about the two abortions she had at 16. I think in many ways she’s jealous of my daughter,” Huckabee said.
“My daughter has a husband who loves her and is wonderful to her. My daughter has three delightful children. She’s a happy balanced person. My daughter has enjoyed life," he continued. "She’s a pretty straightlaced person. She goes to church and lives a life Chelsea Handler has never known.”
In case this wasn't offensive enough already, he took a parting shot.
"There’s something deep inside of Chelsea Handler that says, ‘I’ve missed out on a lot, I could be raising children, but I aborted them.'”
