Milo Yiannopoulos is having a rough week, a rough year even, and he wants his followers to know about it. The right-wing firebrand took to Facebook on Saturday to ream out his fans for allowing his celebrity and influence to dissipate.

Milo's stature as a political commentator has dramatically cratered in recent months. His financial backers, the Mercer family, ceremoniously cut off his funds after he suggested pedophilia should be legal. He lost his role as an editor at Breitbart. And since he is banned on Twitter, Milo has had to rely on Facebook to put out his message.

He is a case study that proves de-platforming can strip someone of their voice. Alex Jones should probably take note. He too can wind up broke and depressed.

Milo revealed in a Facebook post that his wealth has virtually vanished. And no one seems to care.

"I have been betrayed and abandoned by everyone who ever called themselves my friend, with a small handful of notable exceptions," he wrote in the lengthy post.

"I was a significant factor in Donald Trump getting elected, for which I have received zero credit," he continued. "I almost single handedly ignited the current debate about free speech on campus and NO ONE has ever matched my ability to draw attention to these issues. For my trouble, I have lost everything standing up for the truth in America, spent all my savings, destroyed all my friendships, and ruined my whole life."

Milo claimed in the post that he spends upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on a security team. He said he spent "literally millions of dollars" during his campus tour that tried to rebuke American liberalism. Milo said that he has "repeatedly" put himself in harm's way "in service of American values."

Apparently, some people have told Milo that his extravagant lifestyle has contributed to his downfall. To these people, Milo says: "All I ever read here is criticism and ingratitude. You guys have no idea what I have sacrificed for you, and you think just because I drown my sorrows with a few expensive bottles of wine, you're justified in calling me lazy and self-involved."

As a side note, just this Thursday, Milo shared on Facebook a restaurant bill he amassed.

Milo's exorbitant spending habit is not the only issue plaguing him this week. He was, once again, removed from a speaking lineup.

Milo was slated to speak at this year's Politicon, the annual, bipartisan political convention held in Los Angeles.

The hosts of the conference later announced that Milo will no longer be making an appearance. Milo claimed in another Facebook post that "complaints on social media" led to Politicon uninviting him.

Milo was apoplectic about this in his Facebook letter for his fans.

"My events almost never happen," he wrote. "It's protests, or sabotage from Republican competitors or social media outcries. Every time, it costs me tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars. And when I get dumped from conferences, BARELY ANYONE makes a sound about it — not my fellow conservative media figures and not eve, in many cases, you guys."

"When was the last time any of you protested in the street at the treatment meted out to me or Pamela Gellar or Mike Cernovich or Alex Jones?" he added.
