President Donald Trump once again attacked Brett Kavanaugh accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s credibility during a radio interview with Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera.
As the New York Times reports, Trump once again knocked Ford for waiting decades to level accusations of attempted rape against Supreme Court nominee Kavanaugh, who has issued a blanket denial of the allegations.
“This went 36 years without a complaint,” the president griped to Rivera.
Despite the fact that Trump indicated that he doesn’t buy the allegations against his Supreme Court nominee, he said Ford should nonetheless testify before the Senate this week.
“Let her have her voice, let her say whatever she has to say,” he said. “Let him say what he has to say and that in the end these senators will make a choice.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Trump held out the possibility of firing deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who reportedly floated the possibility of removing Trump via the 25th Amendment last year.
“I haven’t gotten all the facts, but certainly it’s being looked at in terms of what took place,” Trump said of Rosenstein. “If anything took place and I’ll make a determination sometime later, but I don’t have the facts.”
