"Joker" leads the pack with 11 nods: Here is the complete list of nominees for the 2020 Oscars

“Joker,” the divisive story of the Batman villain widely criticized by critics for its depictions of mental illness and poverty let the pack with 11 when nominations for the 92nd annual Academy Awards were announced Monday morning.

Not far behind were a trio of films with ten nominations each: Sam Mendes' "1917," Martin Scorsese’s "The Irishman," Quentin Tarantino’s "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." Mendes and Tarantino split the prize at the Golden Globes, which divides the films into subcategories based on comedy and drama.

Notable snubs include Greta Gerwig for her role as director of "Little Women," and Jennifer Lopez for her critically-acclaimed role in "Hustlers."
