Delaney Tarr, a graduate of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and a school shooting survivor, sat down with Salon's Rachel Leah on "Salon Talks" to discuss why she is demanding stricter gun laws after her school was gunned down in one of America's deadliest school shootings just one year ago.
"There have been so many shootings where guns have been purchased legally because we do not enforce background checks," Tarr explained.
"It is not an issue of just illegal guns. It is an issue of the way that we allow people to get guns. There are so many people that if we vetted them properly we would realize should not have access to a firearm."
