Sydney, Australia-based Nagi Maehashi, the RecipeTin Eats blogger and cookbook author, started off as a home cook and now has millions of followers around the world. How'd she do it? "There's definitely no college that you can go to for this kind of thing," Maehashi explained on "Salon Talks." The self-taught home cook, writer and photographer describes how she learned everything from writing, to recipe development to discovering her dog Dozer was the star of her business. "I was very good at the eating part, but everything else, hopeless," she said.
