Joe Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," discusses his new book, "Saving Freedom: Truman, the Cold War, and the Fight for Western Civilization." Even though Truman was mocked his entire life, Scarborough calls him a great example of American success story. "It actually took about 30 years for historians to catch up to the fact that this guy who was dismissed as a rube and who left office with 22 percent approval rating is a great president, is now classified as a great or near great president," Scarborough told Salon's Dean Obeidallah.
Scarborough also labeled Trump a facist and blasted the Republican party. "Forget about small government. They spend like drunken socialists and that's the least of their problems," Scarborough said. "These are the same people who have stood by Donald Trump." For more on Scarborough's post-election analysis of Trump and to learn more about President Truman, watch the full episode above.
