Laura O'Toole Morton
Laura O’Toole Morton holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Spalding University’s Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing, specializing in dramatic writing. She is a professional proposal writer and uses her own experiences to empathize with and advocate for vulnerable populations across the country. Her screenplay, "The Last Shootout of Calamity Jane," was a quarter-finalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship and the American Zoetrope Screenplay Contest, among others. She is currently working on her memoir about 13 years of career chaos, when trauma left her unable to find a clear path, leading to 63 jobs, 15 moves across five states, and roles as varied as hiring psychics at a metaphysical bookstore, teaching in a one-room schoolhouse and temping in countless offices.
