Ted Osius

Ted Osius is the author of "Nothing Is Impossible: America's Reconciliation with Vietnam" (Rutgers University Press, October 2021). A diplomat for 30 years, Osius served from 2014 to 2017 as U.S. ambassador to Vietnam, a country he has known and loved since 1995. Only the second gay career diplomat in U.S. history to achieve the rank of ambassador, Osius went to Vietnam with his husband and children. He is currently President and CEO of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council, the premier advocacy organization for U.S. corporations operating within the dynamic Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
