The Constitutional Convention

The Constitutional Convention met in Philadelphia from May 25 to Sept. 17, 1787. President George Washington also served as convention president. Several major founding fathers, including Alexander Hamilton and James Madison, were instrumental in drafting what became the United States Constitution.
