During a "Salon Talks" episode with Salon's D. Watkins, Academy Award-nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor opened up about awards season and what Hollywood's highest honors mean to him.
"I do find that it's true that the work is it's own reward if it really, if it sings, if it clicks with you, if you feel that it's been accomplished well. You know? It's, don't get me wrong, totally fantastic to get awards as well."
In the clip above, Ejiofor and Watkins discuss Spike Lee's 2019 Oscar win. Ejiofor made his directorial debut with the new Netflix film "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind."
