Oscar winner and activist Sean Penn is throwing his support behind the Parkland student activists. On "Salon Talks" he applauded the Parkland survivors' ability to embrace others. While Penn admits that his idealism has been "chipped away at" over the years, listening to the student activists has given him hope. "These kids came out and spoke with so much articulation. They spoke with exactly the kind of embrace of others, including the ideas that were opposed to them, that we would want our leaders to speak with," Penn said on "Salon Talks."
