Nia Long is hopeful that her new Apple original film,"The Banker," will open up conversations in Hollywood about historical films that feature black leads and tell previously overlooked black stories. "There are very few times that black people get to see films that actually show our contribution to film and that we are heroes," Long said on "Salon Talks."
"The Banker" is about two entrepreneurs who struggle to get loans and buy property in the 1960s. Long plays Eunice, opposite Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson. "The Banker," is in theaters now and available on AppleTV+ on March 20.
