Actor Pauline Chalamet joins "Salon Talks" to talk about the new season of "The Sex Lives of College Girls" on HBO Max. When she and her castmates moved to Los Angeles for the first season, it really felt like starting college, Chalamet says. This time around, the cast is closer and their characters are continuing to handle things like affording college, navigating campus hookup culture and coming out. "I'm very grateful for the opportunity to play a character who can be awkward and is figuring out who she is," Chalamet said. Offscreen, Chalamet is focused on getting involved in her new community in California, where she recently served as a poll worker. "California's new to me. I've always lived in places like New York or Paris, where I already had community. It's interesting as an adult moving to a city and having to create community," she said.
