Actor Michael Shannon shares what he learned from former FBI agent Gary Noesner about hostage negotiation and the 1993 Waco siege for his role in "Waco: The Aftermath" and why his process for playing Gary is very similar to any character he takes on. "The fact that I played Elvis and George Jones is ridiculous. You should either be able to play one or the other," Shannon said on "Salon Talks." What gives the two-time Academy Award nominee a unique edge when he does not resemble or sound like the characters is his approach. "It's not so much to try and fool you into thinking that I'm them, but it's trying to communicate what the experience of being them is like," he shared.
