The Oscar and Emmy Award-nominated actress described the process of jumping into filming with only a few days of prep time. Stepping into the role was complicated for her, but she loves how the show asks the tough questions about police, justice and power. "[The show] also brings into question if the criminal justice system is about rehabilitation. What is fair? And how many people do we just throw away?"
