Who do you think will win the 2019 Grammy for best rap album? As the Grammys grow closer, Angela Yee, of Power 105.1 FM's "The Breakfast Club," Tariq Khan, a record producer and the founder of HighBreedMusic, and Salon's Rachel Leah give their analysis and predictions for this year's Grammy Awards.

Yee, Khan and Leah dive into the typically male-dominated awards ceremony and debate if the Recording Academy learned from its mistakes following last year's gender-imbalanced results. The group also made their predictions for best rap album this year.

The nominations for the Best Rap Album are:

Mac Miller - "Swimming"

Nipsey Hussle - "Victory Lap"

Cardi B - "Invasion of Privacy"

Pusha T - "Daytona"

Travis Scott - "Astroworld"

Leah makes the point that Kayne West's Wyoming-based collection that he produced was nominated in the category with "Daytona." Leah said, "'Daytona,' that was the only album recognized from the whole Wyoming, Kanye-produced roll out. Kanye's nominated for producer of the year. but Ye was completely ignored."

She continued, "'Kids See Ghosts,' Teyana Taylor's album, Nas' album, nothing. Just 'Daytona,'" And Yee noted, "First of all there's seven songs on all of those albums, right."

Also nominated this year is Mac Miller, who died in September, only one month after the release of his album "Swimming." And Yee points out that "Mac Miller's parents are attended the Grammys and will accept the award on his behalf if he wins.

Leah predicts a win for the late artist. "I also think it would be significant for Mac Miller to win it. This would be the last grammy he could win."
